The smallest surprises....

...are often the biggest blessings!

No, we aren't pregnant! We are going to be grandparents!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

And this sweet little bundle of love is due on Mr. C's birthday (10/3). The greatest gift ever. We are so excited to meet him/her.

Thank you Sean & Chloe!

I feel too young to be called "Grandma" so I am thinking that "Grammie" sounds a little younger - you know, like the award...all gold and sparkly! If you have an idea for a more hip and young version of grandma, I'd love to hear it! If I choose your suggestion, I'll send you a gc to Starbucks!

Have a fabulous day!

I call my grandma Granny Goose, and my grandpa is Poppie.

Grammie is still winning. Granny sounds older than Grandma, Callie! LOL. But I like Poppie for Mr. C. I hadn't thought of what he'd like to be called. I'll have to ask him. Keep 'em coming!

wow, congratulations Marti! That's so exciting : ) I like Gran for a younger name, personally.

Congrats Marti! I think we're both in the same boat, too young that is. LOL I call my grandma Gram. Always have and she's fixin' to turn 97 years old. :-) DS asked me what I wanted to be called and I think we'll just see how the kidlet handles it. When my 3rd dd was little, she couldn't say Grandpa, so she just called him Bob. He loved it. So long as it's not a bad word... :-D

Congrats Marti, I am so excited for your family. I have a friend named Candy and to her grandkids she is "CandyGram" another friend's mom is "Birdie" (she's a tiny one). A hispanic family I know call grandma "Abulita" and I also know a few "Magran"s. But for you, maybe something more that says something about you-how about "Scrappygram"? It hits in so many levels. You are a scrapbooker, a quilter and a strong women who can take the scraps in life and always find joy! Love to you Becca

Well in the south, they say Nana. Not sure if that's young enough though. Josh was laughing that he's a great uncle at 25. Lol!

I love "GiGi". I know it's supposed to be for Great Grandma, but I still think it sounds younger than most of the traditional Grandma names. "MiMi" is a popular one that I hear...Congrats!

Can I vote for Gramdma G String?!!!

1st to Houston 'No you cannot vote for grandma g string'

Ok now on to the important stuff
C O N G R A T U L A T I O N S !!!

Grammie is good, my mother facing the same issues decided she would be meme(french for grandma and not an ounce of french in her, her mother was Nanan to us which seems even older)

I had some friends who were italian and they called the gma 'Nona' which I always thought was cute

OK, Houston. LOL. You had me doubled over with that suggestion. My beloved Grandma Genevieve will always hold the title of Grandma G-String so I can't steal that one. *snort*

Christyn - thanks for having my back on that one. LOL.

I loved several of the suggestions so I'll have to think about it, and ask Chloe's & Sean's opinions, then choose a winner.

Thank you to everyone for the congrats and good wishes. I feel far too young, and so very unworthy of this new adventure, but we are going to just dive in and go with it.

So here it's me again, still trying to win. LOL! But really a german suggestion: Oma and another thought. I think you read NieNie, right. Her kids call their grandmother "GrandMary". Well what about "GrandMarti"? I thought it is sweet and separates you from Chloe's mom. :) Or maybe you could just be "Super" Cause you are Super sweet and give Super loves and Super hugs. :) Happy day Marti!

Congrats! That is so exciting. No name suggestions. My kids decide for themselves what they call their grandparents.
